I think it is a commentary on what you presented. Another angle on how those foundations will be shaken - and how in some domains they might not be.

What Vegas posted is also true ... up to a point.

His contention that AI will "need" humans to do manual labor (mining, repairs, etc) may only be a temporary need if at all. Micro surgery and building big machines are currently within the grasp of our imagined future. Why not mining and repairs?

I read something a couple years ago about the exploration of the cosmos being so harsh that the only way to make it truly feasible for humans may be the merge with electro-mechanical enhancements. That so-called desire to explore will no doubt fuel more AI advancements as well. We are are the path like it or not to change our own existence. A person doesn't have to be deemed a fearful Luddite to see it coming.
